Speed above all else

We value speed, because moving fast means we get great technology to patients faster. This means we have an action-biased culture of fast execution, defined by decisions made at the lowest level possible without waiting for excessive "buy in." A decision made is progress made.

High output matters

There is no room for empty headcount at Commure. We staff leanly, and that only works when every individual contributes at a high level. Being busy doesn't mean making progress. You should very clearly understand the core impact required from your role in the team and make sure that core impact is significant.

The day ends when the customer is happy

The only reason we have this job and this opportunity is because of our customers. Without happy customers all of this is made up. We take pride in delighting and exceeding our customers' expectations. Every disappointed customer is an emergency for us, and we treat it with extreme urgency.

Do the work (no work theater)

We believe it is vital that everyone, from the CEO on down, do the actual work of keeping our customers happy. Having zero pure managers keeps us more connected to the product, our customers and our teams. By staying lean, we move faster and get things done. This is our operational advantage.

Extreme ownership

Own the outcome, not just the inputs. Don't just sit around and let failure happen — you own the outcome. Remember that half of work is following up. If something is not written down and followed up, it might as well have never happened.
